Reid Rose
Coach Reid Rose enters his 12th year in education and coaching and his fourth year coaching wrestling. As the Head Wrestling Coach at Burleson Centennial High School, he is passionate about building a program centered on discipline, hard work, and developing young men and women of character.
Coach Rose believes wrestling is one of the greatest tools for teaching resilience, accountability, and confidence. His goal is to help every athlete grow not only as a wrestler, but as a student, teammate, and leader. Through the program’s core values of Proudly Represent, Championship Approach, Fast, Smart, Physical, and Tough & Courageous, he strives to build a culture that prepares athletes for success both on and off the mat.
Outside of coaching, Coach Rose enjoys spending time with his wife, Janelle, and their two sons, Rhett and Brock. In his free time, he enjoys grilling, listening to podcasts, and playing all kinds of games with family and friends.
Head Coach
Alexander Key
Coach Alexander Key brings a lifelong passion for wrestling and athlete development to the Centennial High School wrestling program. His wrestling journey began as a high school athlete, where he competed for four years before continuing his career at the collegiate level for two additional seasons. Following his competitive career, Coach Key remained deeply involved in the sport by serving as a wrestling official for five years, gaining valuable insight into the technical aspects of wrestling and the importance of sportsmanship.
Before joining Centennial High School, Coach Key founded and led a middle school wrestling program for two years, helping introduce young athletes to the sport while building a strong foundation in technique, discipline, and character. He is entering his second year as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Centennial High School and is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the mat.
In addition to coaching, Coach Key is a Spanish teacher at Centennial High School, where he enjoys helping students grow academically while encouraging them to strive for excellence in all areas of life. His coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, accountability, resilience, and the belief that success is earned through consistent effort and a willingness to improve every day.
Outside of school, Coach Key enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Margaret, will celebrate nine years of marriage this August, and they are the proud parents of their one-year-old daughter, Ayelen. Coach Key considers it a privilege to invest in the lives of young people and is excited to continue helping Centennial wrestlers achieve their goals both in competition and beyond.
